The problem with getting money out of politics, at least in the United States, is two-fold. First, the Supreme Court decision in Citizens United v FEC pretty much removed a lot of restrictions on campaign finance, and led to the meteoric rise in super PACs and dark money contributions, so until that decision is either reversed or legislated away by Congress, you're out of luck. Second, said legislation would require Congress to vote against their own interest. There's little interest for most Representatives or Senators to vote money out of their own pockets.

I also wish to dismantle a lot of anti-discrimination laws. Anything from racial quotas at work places, to college entrance practices that favor certain races over others. I believe that it is not the government's business whether private citizens want to discriminate.

some kind of body of oversight for bills that is purely dedicated to composition/proofing/editing, to make sure there is a singular topic of the bill that can't have tons of irrelevant shit that should exist as other bills. and yes, i am comfortable with an unknown 3rd party deciding what's relevant, since anything would be better than currently where everything is allowed to be relevant.

Hello. Just wondering if there are things that you want for your country, politically speaking. I am sure we all have some. Or, alternatively, you can talk about the things that you don't like about your country, things that you want to change.

Me: I mostly want to take money out of politics. Make it so that political campaigns aren't so dependent on big money.

As long as politicians have the power to pick the winners and losers in the marketplace, you will have money going to the politicians who make "the right choices."
