I’m not disagreeing that there are neo-Nazi organizations and tendencies in Ukraine I’m asking how the president himself can be labeled one.

The Russians are not interested in attacking a jew.

They call them neo nazis because of Svoboda and the Azov battalion, far right kids summer camps in that are similar to the nazis hitler youth camps and so on

It’s my understanding that battalion is currently listed under the Ukrainian military but kind of operates separately and the government just turns a blind eye to it.

Is that correct?

I get the whole ordeal guys I was just kind of thrown off when the president himself was listed as a neo-Nazi also. They should of just said he was a sympathizer or purposely ignored neo-Nazis under his nose.

I have no knowledge of what the battalion is involved in right now but I know it's def not rumors or Russian propaganda. The movement is real and the political party already existed before the Russians took Crimea in 2014 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Svoboda_(political_party)

Of course the Russians use this in their favor but imagine if it were the other way around and the Russians were deploying extreme far right units in battle.

They are probably the only ones willing to deal with the separatists. In all honesty MOST units even in the US have a few extremely racist people in them. I use to work at a bar near Fort Hood and the amount of racial slurs used by soldiers in that place would be enough to make a redneck feel uncomfortable.
