So far unless he completely faceplants the ending, it looks like this will go down as a successful speech by Biden. I was figuring going into it the bar had been set so low that Biden really only needed to give a passable boring and competent speech to count as a victory. Something to demonstrate he isn't asleep at the wheel and a total non-entity. After all, this is basically what Biden campaigned on, being a boring and competent leader to contrast with Trump's wild ride. And instead we got 12 months straight of Biden fucking up everything he touched. Promising the bare minimum and then not even showing up on delivery day. Well it looks like today Biden is awake and alert and fumbling his way through a speech adequately enough that it isn't a major embarrassment. He had several stumbles and got off track, has low energy and isn't inspiring confidence in anyone. But he's alive. He doesn't look like he's going to croak any minute, he won't need to challenge his doubters to a game of squash like Umaru Musa Yar'Adua did before he dropped dead.
Good job Joe, you're getting better.
