While I enjoy making memes blaming Biden for inflation, there are other clear factors causing it that have nothing to do with him.
One is a frictional supply shock due to COVID regulation.
However, the other is a large pattern which is being called The Great Resignation, where millions of people have resigned en-masse at the same time.https://sloanreview.mit.edu/article/toxic-culture-is-driving-the-great-resignation/An MIT scientist posits that while the media wants us to believe that the cause for the resignations is compensation, the real reason from surveys turns out to actually be
toxic corporate culture.
Which raises the question. How does one fix toxic corporate culture?
I’ve heard nightmare stories from friends about companies that force you to give them 5-star reviews on Glass Door and the such, so I definitely believe this analysis.
I’m currently drowning in the corporate culture. It’s pretty switchy. Document questionable encounters if they really seem wrong. I’ve been back stabbed, scapegoated, and purely lied about. I also have people who will stand shoulder to shoulder with me without hesitation. Depending on who’s around I’m viewed as a problem or a savior and mentally, it’s pretty damn exhausting. Really hard to unstab your back. Even had HR document that one manager harassed me for 2 years and he faced no consequences because he’s been there a while. But if you can survive it, can make a pretty good living. Stay golden pony boy.
*edit* Worth noting our top talent is slowly but consistently leaving. Speaks volumes cuz they make way more than me and they’re peacing out
