To destroy a nation you must first destroy its history. Remember the first thing ISIS did in areas it took over in Syria/Iraq was use C4 to blow up every historical artifact or historical site they had access to, some areas going back thousands of years since before the Roman empire..

In America, the intention is the same - of-course, it's justified because it is statues of Confederates or whomever is considered oppressive/racist. However, the founding fathers are certainly next.
