She got ACA through the house which lost a lot of moderate Dems their seats, she got the compromise infrastructure package through the house by getting the progressives to bend. The strength in a house speaker/senate leader is getting your caucus to take politically disadvantageous votes to get the overall agenda through. Not writing new progressive legislation.

She's a good leader of the Democratic House caucus. She's a shitty leader for the American people. These two are not mutually exclusive.
Yes, the main priority of a Speaker is to herd cats and keep his or her recalcitrant caucus in line - but the #2 in the line of succession is also an important political leader and should advance American interests in foreign policy as well as provide guidance and common ground on domestic issues. And in these regards, Pelosi has been an abject failure.
