Some users here think that clearly defined age of consent is semantics amongst a slew of other erroneous notions.
So it made my resolve even firmer when these clowns spit hot garbage as a form of argument

didnt take long for the usual pale pasty swamp demon lovers here who voted for biden to blame trump for the political problems from the last 4 decades.

dont forgot who voted for the war in iraq, botched the afghanistan withdrawal, and now is trying to start another war this time in ukraine.

and managed to be racist to anita hill while attacking clarence thomas all before writing the “black supredators” crime bill (just ask lunch bucket joe he bragged about writing it)

Define what a "position" means on anything. Is it about your personal beliefs or who you align with?
I've never had any loyalty to a partisan side, my political alignment shifts all the time. I don't like the idea of 'sides' to begin with. When the JIDF posted here they accused me of being a pinko commie, but the tankies think I'm Literally Hitler. But the fundamental principles and convictions remain the same. Still, the way those principles apply to policy can change based both on a better understanding of issues and changing cultural conditions even if the underlying logic doesn't. So I think I've swapped positions on some issues in general, and which party aligns with those issues at any given time has been a wild roller coaster ride of realignments over the past decade. I've definitely become a lot more militant on issues like free speech and opposing authoritarianism, only as a response to how society has shifted in a way that makes the Patriot Act look like small fries. It used to be on the backburner for me, I could live with the Bush era of the state infringing on rights and activists pushing back, it seemed so healthy compared to today. I think a person who had the same general beliefs about civil libertarianism and free expression would find the 2000s era to be more of a civil discourse between reasonable people with valid disagreements, while the 2020+ era is becoming an existential bitter fight against people who can't be reasoned with, people who would shank you and piss on your grave. That shared spirit of civil disagreement is completely evaporated.

I'd figure that some conversations have changed my mind on issues here, but rarely for the better of whoever I'm reading. Its easy to point to stuff like being just as skeptical of Trump as Voyaging was on the infamous 2016 post, or my historical support for Joe Biden and ambivalence even going into 2020 that got thrown out the window when he started shitting the bed on every challenge he faced, but if I was looking for any shifts where the left won me over recently I'd be drawing a lot of blanks. Maybe when the pendulum swings back, but boy I'm going to be waiting a while because we're clearly not at the nadir yet.

More the latter, to your question, Goomshill. I suppose my wording was rather vague, but your answer was good.

I wouldn't know of any "infamous 2016 post", since I rarely come here. In fact, this is the most I've ever posted in PARD, lol. Link me to that post if you're bored enough.

You've been here a while, most of the threads are made by the same people, and it looks like each side is saying the same thing about each side--I'm right, you're wrong.

I can't help but wonder, have any of you actually changed your position on anything after all your time on this forum?

Have you learned anything significant?
Did you switch sides?
Go towards the middle?

This isn't really a thread about your position, but rather, if you've ever changed it, thanks to a thread, a number of threads, or even someone specific on this forum.

No.

but this section changed after Trump won for the worst

There has been someone telling you the system is rigged the whole time.
I forget who.

Look at you thinking you have a unique position here.

About the system being rigged. That is not a new perspective here.

Who else says Biden and Trump are controlled by the same enemy?

edit: and that if voting mattered they wouldn't let you do it?
lmk, I could use some help here.
