Conspiracy theorists that warned people bout the social credit system in the west are bout to be on point once more. Today's conspiracies are tomorrow truth. Vaccine passport was the first step. They will probably claim it's to identify the non-vaccinated within society. People will cheer until they find out it was a lie and it's there to stay.

Social credit system has been well underway in China. Black Mirror's Nosedive is a documentary.

Not just black mirror. They use the television to get us used to extreme scenarios so when they happen, it's not as disturbing to us.

Obviously, the IRS are demonic spawn the likes of which we'd MF for hours on end, in hopes of finding a Jah, but a company developing and deploying facial recognition software? Just because the buyer is an evil government entity doesn't mean the corporation is doing anything wrong--if the market didn't want them selling to the IRS, they should have made an exclusive counter-offer. The IRS uses the corporation as a gatekeeper for access to the IRS, ergo it is functionally an extension of the IRS.

Uhhh, I definitely get why they want something like this. Tax return fraud is a very real thing that impacts a ton of people every year, so confirming you are who you are when you file online is a noble goal.

but... yeah. Not hot on facial recognition tech and I agree with cuffs we should probably just ban it.

The privacy concerns outweigh the benefit by.... a lot.

Sounds like fake news, and ron paul already sold all databases to Russia & China anyway (Who can refuse a good offer ?)

What they really need is fingerprints and DNA sample eventually. They already have the photo.
Face check could be reserved to bad citizens who had an history of wrongdoing with IRS tho hehe.

Since my eyes were opened to the fact that the Biden admin is the epitome of moderation and would never pursue any kind of policy that drastically encroaches on civil liberties or expands the scope and control of the government, I must assume that this is all just a big fat misunderstanding.

I expect Biden to act according to his moderate reputation and personally call the IRS off asap!
