Both the 2016 and 2020 democratic primaries were wildly undemocratic and overtly manipulated by the party elites to push their chosen candidate. They exploited all the corrupt party powers possible in 2016 to tilt the scales in Hillary's favor and pulled out all the stops, giving her full control of the party apparatus before any primary votes, using it not just for wildly asymmetric fundraising but also as her personal money laundering machine to bypass maximum donation limits for the general election. In 2020 they avoided the overt display of corruption of 2016 and instead settled for just astroturfing with political machinations and a media doing their bidding. They cast a wide net with a bunch of moderates and then had them throw their support behind Biden, to garner him support he wouldn't have on his own. As Thor said, it was an obviously coordinated effort to consolidate around Biden to the exclusion of the progressives.
What does it mean to be 'stolen'? Its a perfectly fair characterization of 2016. Maybe not so much 2020. You could still easily identify 2020 as dirty politics and the low road of backstabbing and smoke-filled rooms of elites who orchestrate a charade for the public, but in 2016 they took that much further.

Whether Hillary would or wouldn't have won without rigging her primary isn't the question. It was Hillary's flawed character, her paranoid jealous ambition that couldn't risk a repeat of her 2008 loss and her complete lack of scruples, that combined to let her rig an election she easily could have won fairly. And it was Vladimir Putin who saw this as an opportunity to embarrass her on a world stage in a tit-for-tat retaliation for her doing the same to him during his 2014 election. So he exposed her micromanaging DNC affairs, albeit not even a small fraction of how deep the actual corruption was going (wikileaks only published the DNC emails showing staff plotting against Bernie, it wasn't for a year later we learned Hillary had full control of the DNC apparatus and every single possible lever and used it to launder money so brazenly). Of course, Putin just assumed Hillary was going to win, like everyone else did, he just wanted to send a shot across her bow and sank her instead.

what's funny to me is HRC got "inside information" about upcoming questions at a town hall, where she was told in Michigan she'd get asked about the Flynt water crisis. WOW, crazy breaking stuff, never could have seen that coming.

if find it funny because its the most prevailing narrative, but its the biggest nothingburger and allowed to prevail because the DNC is almost certainly hiding far worse preferential treatment that hasnt come to light. and still trumpers run with it.

And the DNC staffers brainstormed about how they could paint Sanders as an atheist instead of a jew because that plays worse in rural bumfuck counties. Yes the initial wikileaks reveals were nothing at all compared to finding our HRC had full control of all staffing, press releases, research, polling, finances, mail lists, etc at the DNC and micromanaged every single operation of the national HQ conducting the primary. And that she puppeteered state parties to launder all her illegal campaign donations.

Its ironic that the uproar that cost her the election and sparked russiaburger was only the part of the iceberg above the water

that's Clinton playbook 101. network for decades to get insiders everywhere, and when the scandal hits deal with the shit on the table as a gift to distract from the pile of dead bodies (metaphorically OF COURSE) rather than let the yarn ball unwind. Bill doesnt give two shits what stories break about cigars in the oval office, that's fucking nothing compared to what this family has under the rug. 2016 was no different for HRC, and watching Bernie fall in line as fast as he did is further proof he knew she was way too well connected to do anything against. interesting to think what he might have done if he knew ahead of time she'd lose tho.
