I will acknowledge it.

Stimulus has caused massive amounts of inflation.

Money doesn't buy anything and there are literally jobs requiring masters degrees paying 15/hr. Everyone got focused on money lost sight of value.

You have to have concrete skills and abilities that you can charge people money for. Continuous learning is important too. A friend and I are starting to learn Six Sigma as a way to advance more.

Costco ftw.

Six Sigma is pretty damn easy if you are good with math. Not sure what jobs require a masters degree that pay $15 an hour, we pay machine operators with a high school diploma / GED $25 an hour with phenomenal benefits.

almost like years of printing money has adverse impact on inflation!!! wow!!!!! couple that with slow supply chain, protectionism and tariffs, and we are paying more for everyday items. also in canada, dairy cartel approved a price increase cause they can just to fuck with everyone.

Liberals will tell you it's all profiteering by corporations.

None of them will acknowledge that the growth in the money supply plays a part in the equation for inflation.

Sure, money supply plays a role, but let's be real here. The supply chain issues are a much larger factor.

Additionally, we have corporations literally admitting they are taking a larger margin because everybody expects inflation and they can get away with it. To ignore that there is some profiteering is also ignorant, but just conveniently a way that absolves neoliberal corporatism of responsibility :D

People talk about STEM being full of great job opportunities but that's kind of a lie. If you get a M.S. in biology you're going to be lucky if you break $20 an hour without 5+ years of experience.

When I was searching for a job after leaving medical school I had a hell of a time finding a job that paid more than $15 an hour starting.

It is really the TEM that brings in the $$. My engineering college friend group is all at 6 figures and they all ended up in tech instead of engineering. If you have a MS in bio you should be able to pivot into tech, fuck that wage.

Yep, food prices way higher. Gas too. Stocks have not even kept up with inflation. We are in stagflation.

But hey, at least no more mean tweets, right guys?! nudge nudge nudge
