Yes he fired back and poliece are trained to minimize the threat but is there no training that would suggest backing off from the residence and allowing de-escalation. Based on that short read it appears they largely had the place surrounded. Why just fire blindly into a home when you don't know how many people are in there and in what rooms.

Nah we are talking about the same guy. I'm still undecided about felons owning firearms, but those bootlicker police got theirs.

No I didn't misunderstand. I read that clearly. He then shot back. I'm saying was their no other action for police to blindly fire into the house without knowing who was in the various rooms.

Again looks like piss poor training go me.

I assume people with battering rams and shit have loudspeakers, no?

Haven't followed this case, but um... I dunno. I tend to side in favor of this guy. Not speaking to his character or anything, just that I need more information to incriminate him.

BTW, I want to be on a Grand Jury some day. Good fucking luck getting indictments out of me. ;)

No, and that's why he won a self-defense case.

But he's still going to get absolutely fucked for felony gun, and drug possession.

I do not support any drug charges under any circumstances, unless they're straight poison.

Regarding gun charges... If active felon on parole, we can have a conversation. If former felon who served all time and is free and clear? I don't support that either. Everyone has a right to self-preservation.
