I'm more of a wake and bake than a woke guy.

that white bigotted piece of shit in the 2nd video was wearing a mohawk, a terrible crime against native culture. if like more than 12 natives were left he'd be facing an ass kicking.
You should hear Mr. T talk about his mohawk and chains, it is pretty intense. He goes into wearing the hair of the Mandenko Warriors, an african tribe that inspires him, wearing big gold chains because his people always wore chains but his price is way higher now, and that he named himself Mr. T after coming home from Vietnam and being called boy. Something alone the lines of "Mr is now the first thing a person calls me, not boy". To me a true ubermensch.

I didn't say that "corporate American going 'woke'" is a smart strategy or will be successful in the long run - I just explained where I think they're coming from. ;)
Anyway, I think we both agree that corporations positioning themselves as woke is mostly just for show and not reflective of sincere beliefs or values.
Yeah they run according to capitalist ethics, described perfectly by Marx in the manifesto of the communist party. "All that is solid melts into air" means all your values are transient and things are constantly revolutionizing and shifting.
Alternatively:
Quote
Translating Marx and Engels's passage as “All that is solid” makes the “melting” or “evaporating” caused by capitalism suggests something different: it suggests that what came before capitalism was—above all—not fluid. It was built well, it was stable.
Goethe in Faust makes a big deal out of this concept first about the girl leaving the village and later Faust murdering the old people to make the city.
I would talk about this more and elaborate/defend/posit but I'm not putting any effort into
this pard anymore.
Bold is true. Corporations can't actually have opinions because they aren't sentient creatures with thought, they are machines to make profit. They never cared about unwoke regressive views either.
