Can you imagine the reaction if SNL used a woman to portray Trump like they did with Manchin? Republicans would have stormed the set and then GOP politicians would refuse to investigate the incident.

I mean would anyone complain if the CCP put SNL in a concentration camp?

Are they even funny anymore?

Democratic party has full power and a pale pasty privileged lefty white male at the head of their party. of course they’re going to use the media and Hollywood to go after any internal dissent especially another dude from West Virginia

snl Roasted obama, clinton, and has consistently gone after prominent DNC congresspeople and senators.

the narrative that they were too anti-Trump was always just angry idiots.

This is one of their best opens in years.

Gotta love how the skit used the two most prominent moderate and progressive Democrats for optics/balance reasons, but then actually proceeded to exclusively roast the two moderates. Biden also got away quite cheap in this one.


I give it 10 more years until even AOC types are no longer woke and lefty enough for Hollywood.

Oh, yeah, one more thing: can we talk about the 1984-esque way this skit turns the truth on its head? It attacks Manchin and Sinema as the ones who hate sensible infrastructure spending, who don't want Americans having good roads and such.
In reality, they both support the bipartisan infrastructure bill and it is the House progressives who hold the infrastructure bill hostage to ram through their $3.5 trillion slush fund bill. (And Biden let's it happen.)


So in this sense, the skit does not turn on the Democratic party or its agenda at all - the main point of the skit is to slander the few Democrats who are roadblocks (pun intended) to the liberal agenda.
