You don't think it's racist to look at state voting and ID records to whitelist the IDs predominantly used by White people and blacklist the ones that Black people are more likely to have? They also targeted aspects of voting that Black people were disproportionately inclined to use, such as early voting, out-of-precinct voting, and same-day registration.

no, but I do find those stereotypes as low-key racist, this is what blacks do and so on.

again, get an id tomorrow, start the process.

how long does it take to get an id? months? years?

having id should be absolutely mandatory anywhere in the world.

and again, the lefties that are so outraged should go help the minorities "incapable" of having ids.
also change the rules so that anyone can get an id legally, but faster.

how many minorities do you know that don't have id? I was in the US twice and never heard of this from anyone lol and I was in a very heavily Mehicano area.

if the police stops you on the street, how do you demonstrate who you are? not everyone has a driving license or passport.

im not an expert, but google tells me the next elections are in the US in November NEXT year.

if that is true, there is absolutely NO EXCUSE not to have an id.

lets be realistic here, if it takes you six months to get one, you can get two until then and start the process for the third lmao.

You have to be ill or corrupt to not want voter id. Lets all jump a border to another country and cast our votes to sway elections. Because voter id is not required. Just think about that for a moment.

My guy, these aren't 'stereotypes'. This was reflected in North Carolina's voter data....

I think you're talking about general idea of voter ID whereas I'm presenting real-world example of voter ID laws.

Most people would be supportive of voter ID if is was accessible, uniform, and devoid of voting-restriction pile-ons that voter ID laws typically have here in the US.

ok, how long do you estimate is needed to get an id in north carolina?

and also are the next elections 14 months away?

from what I see on the internet, there are 2.1m registered right, 2.5 undecided, 2.7 registered left. I really don't see how having an id hits in the leftiest voters since there are 2.5 m undecided.

The issue with their 2013 bill was that they specifically requested voter/ID records from the State, and then determined which forms of ID would be valid for voter ID purposes based off of racial voter data. They also targeted other voting practices based off of race too, reducing or eliminating the practices most-used by Black voters.

Again, you're talking about the general idea of voter ID, which most people don't have an issue with. It is/has been the actual real-world proposals and applications that have been problematic.

seems like a weird idea to me this 'voter id' thing. since all that is required is a photo id with your addy on it. i think every single person in this thread has a fucking photo id with their address on it.

if you are a grown adult walking around without a photo id, you don't deserve to vote, sorry.
