He was pro Civil Rights like his predecessor Eisenhower, and wanted the government to provide a better standard for all Americans regardless of their race or religion or whatever (opposite of today’s leftists who want “separate but equal” reinstituted) He was what is currently referred to as a classical liberal

also he cut taxes and requested people work hard for their country. that isn’t leftist at all.

Working hard for the country is exactly what the left argues for. The right explicitly argues that you avoid as much tax as possible and acquire as much capital as possible because greed is good.

no it doesnt. currently you dont have to pay rent to an elderly American minority landlord that rents out a couple units for supplemental income. even if you’re employed. can’t be evicted either - lefty policy.

the notion of the left is “work hard - only so we can tax you at increasingly higher rates. and then tax you again when you profit on any risks you take via investing what we allowed you to keep. then tax your assets when you die”. this tax money is then spent on pork barrel initiatives and favorable no-bid contracts for armaments companies. hardly beneficial to most of the country.

do all lefties pay more taxes than legally required? do you pay more taxes than legally required? what an odd notion to even bring up. if you don’t, write a check to help pay back all the state subsidies you hoarded over the past three decades.

re: acquiring capital: didnt you just claim to buy a house? the notion of acquiring capital seems to be met with disdain by you - so get rid of your house. you dont need it, some other less fortunate family needs it more.
