frankly while i dont care about the original leaks because i find the concept of classified information to be abused grossly by govt i dont really see much of the controversy here.

Classified information was leaked. Subpoenas were used to try and find out who leaked it that had access to it, if it was any of them. This is the legal process for this type of investigation. and the minor being subpoenaed is a non issue, minors are protected from public trials, and in most cases from being tried as adults, but they're not protected from being investigated behind closed doors. If the Trump admin leaked the minors name even, but not their phone data, that would be a violation. But if a congress member didnt leak it but a member of their household on the same home network was hacked this could be how it got out, and is relevant to the investigation.

The only potential GOTCHA i see here is if Trump only subpoenaed the democrats, and didnt subpoena his own party members on the same committee, which i could see him doing. but Trump was dumb and thought he had WAY more party loyalty than he actually had early into his presidency. Doesnt excuse it, just an aside.

its quite clear he targetted democrats only on the committee as no republicans have come forward and announced they were approached by apple to let them know.
