A full combat load adds dozens of pounds to the Marine carrying/wearing it. Body armor, helmet, ammunition. A perfectly healthy, well-muscled Marine in full battle rattle can easily reach 300 pounds.

Trillion dollar annual budget and we don’t even have lightweight automated mech suits yet. Sad. The reality is that anyone who joins the military deserves to be abandoned and die.
