What do you mean by envision? Like if I close my eyes, what do I physically see? Or the ability to understand exactly what it looks like?

Essentially the bolded, if anything.

If my eyes are closed, all I can physically see is darkness. However, I can simultaneously imagine pretty vividly, including details. This is why I'm struggling to understand what's being asked.

This reminds me of the following:

I don't have ANY inner-monologue. I don't really think in words.

It's pretty close to physically seeing it. The same areas in your brain gets activated, it's just not coming from stimulation of your eyes.

That's so weird to me. I have way more dialogue in my head than I speak or hear. I have an inner monologue happening nearly 100% of the time.

It's hard to explain as we all tend to explain it from our own vantage point. What this concept is trying to get at is that when you 'imagine' something, do you have any real-time visual components to that imagery? The chart in the OP is a basic tool used to help clarify what people may "see" when visualizing. It distinguishes between being able to describe a 5-point star (characteristics based off of memory) v. having a visual component/representation of a 5-point star in one's mind while attempting to visualize a star.

It’s kind of two separate steps for me. Like a first reaction impression. If I want to “visualize” and think it through I can fill in all the details as I feel necessary . My first reaction is more basic thoughts/association that is pretty vague

Ha. I always thought in movies that it was a dramatization. I had no idea that people actually think that way until I saw the discussion on Facebook. Most of my thoughts aren't verbal at all. I suppose it's like a silent movie that I can't see.

Hm, that's crazy. Maybe my brain is incapable of surrendering those resources unless I'm in REM.

In my mind, there is some sort of abstraction with the following characteristics: straight edges, filled red shape, a star. I'm still unsure what camp I'd be in.

Based on what you've said I don't think you visualize at all. When I've asked people they tend to know exactly what I'm talking about if they're a strong visualizer.

I can kinda get what that kind of thought is like if I really focus on shutting down the visualization portion of my brain, but at this point its so ingrained to visualize and have an inner mologue that it's difficult. It's also exceedingly difficult to shut down my monologue for any significant amount of time, but that's probably more my ADHD.

I'm not sure. I can "imagine" a red star, but it's obviously very different from seeing a red star.
