proof? where is your topic regarding this over the last 4 yrs?

LOL. I've been posting in PaRD off and on since W. Bush was President. Note, I voted against Bush twice, even though both Gore and Kerry are absolute shit, they were the clear choice. Bush's impact on the deficit was so incredibly huge, it was outright horrific.

The first AIDS-level "covid relief plan", the appropriations omnibus with the second "covid relief plan" (signed by Trump) was also AIDS level. I haven't just criticized Republicans, I've criticized Trump, and within the last couple months.

The part you're missing is that this is TODAY. This is not January. This is not April 2020. This is not 2007. This is not 1619. Today is April 5th, 2021. Politicians in Washington DC are attempting to spend trillions of dollars they do not have. The federal government has not taken in the revenue. This is happening, TODAY.

"Well, it's happened in the past, therefore it's okay today!"

Okay Mr. KKK. "Masks, hoods, and nooses were great in the past, they're okay today!"

Typical of the Democratic KKK. No shocker that you're resurging, with that filthy spaghetti logic. Infect the schools to replace critical thinking with critical theory, then confuse people who don't know how to think.

I thought the same thing, which is why I looked up what research there was on the subject. The paper I linked to in the OP implies that we cannot inflate the debt away, mostly because the vast majority of government debt held in private hands (i.e. the type that we want to inflate) is shorter-term maturity, and inflation would have to be unreasonably high to have a significant impact.

It's important to recognize that financial repression (i.e. capping interest rates, force rolling over debt into lower yield securities) was used by many countries in the post-WWII era to reduce war debt. That's a little bit different than growing the economy and spending, as financial repression functions as a defacto government tax.

In my opinion, the time to reduce military spending has long since passed, and higher spending is likely on the horizon. The United States does need to urgently reform Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid, but that deserves an entire new thread.

I have reported you for spam, as your post makes it clear that you didn't read past the first line.

i asked you a question, it is completely disingenuous of you to post this now that republicans are out of office right and dems hold control of the three branches of gov?

where was your concern over the last 4 yrs of trump??

Explain to us how long you've been a member of the KKK. Only KKK-level Democrats attempt to demonize other people when other people are attempting to address current issues.

How long have you been a racist terrorist? Please tell us. We all want to know. Every post you make lacks facts, throws around accusations, and tries to stir up resentment and hatred of people towards their neighbors.

You are literally identical to the KKK. How long have you had these deranged thoughts? We can quite literally help you, kiddo. You don't need to feel that you need to own other people.

We posted our concern under Trump. Isn't it amazing that a member of the KKK such as yourself will defend any action whatsoever taken by a Democrat, while trying to excuse those actions being taken today, by trying to point the finger at other actions taken at other times by other groups?

You cannot justify deficit spending today by pointing at deficit spending last year any more than you can justify deficit spending last year by pointing at deficit spending in 2016. Grow up.

Not sure if that's true. You can always pay off the debt that's due by issuing more debt when you're a stable government. That's kind of what we're already doing.

Like let's say you have a bunch of 1 year or 3-year treasuries coming to term, just issue 10 yr or 30-year bonds and finance and roll the debt to the future.

edit: and with our yields being around 1.7 bp, that's actually a very attractive yield globally considering Japan and Europe have negative or zero yields.

again, what kind of rambling is this?

i asked a simple question;

it is a bit disingenuous for right wingers to start posting about the deficit when you did nothing of the sort for the last 4 yrs under trump.

now that dems have control, it seems to be a big ticket issue for you.

I've answered every question from you so far. You've yet to answer one. Typical of the KKK. "Why do you hate Jews?" "Because they're evil!" "What? That's not an answer, it's an opinion."

Tell me, how long have you been a member of the KKK, why do you believe you need to be able to own other people or other people's property, and why do you fail to address any facts?
