I'm giving Biden maybe 6 months to get the border situation cleaned up, after that kids in cages are on his administration.
Obama had "kids in cages" to hold them when they arrived without their parents or a guardian. Trump separated families that arrived together, and that's way worse.
However, under Biden his policy of letting kids in but not necessarily their parents has paradoxically lead to a worse outcome because it incentivizes parents to let their kids through before they go through. Good intentions, bad outcome.
Got a lot of cleaning up to do still and I don't think he's going to do it very well.

If you give group X better chances of making it in, or even a free pass, then group X will be sent to the border preferentially.
If the policy was that gay persons who are missing a leg and an eye are not turned away at the border, then we'd be seeing a surge of faggots dressed up as pirates...
In this particular case, the policy is extra moronic. If separating children from their parents is inhumane and ethically/morally unacceptable, and you are unwilling to turn away the children in their own right, then the only logical conclusion is that you have to eventually let in all families. The uncomfortable truth is that merely deciding not to turn children away already gets you 85% of the way to an open borders policy. It's almost as if Democrats put themselves in a bind by supercharging the issue during the Trump years.
