and those are just the latest examples. we already know about donald trump's own close relationship with jeffrey epstein for example: "I've known Jeff for fifteen years. Terrific guy. this has a long tradition btw. there have been countless GOP lawmakers crusading against homosexuality, infidelity, abortion, and other things that go against their alleged "family values" and religious beliefs, that later were caught with their gay escorts, with their mistresses (or paying for their abortion), beating their wives, turned out to be (or cover for) sexual abusers, or (closely friends with) paedophiles themselves...

it's really widespread amongst the american right, and it really seems like they are mostly projecting when they spin their conspiracies about paedophilia and sexual misconduct - otherwise their target should definitely be their own side...
