Nah, I do think it was stupid of him to say that initially but he quickly corrected himself. I’m just wondering why he hasn’t been asking everyone to double up after the shortage wasn’t a problem anymore. I’ve been using the N95s but Americans that don’t have access should have been told long ago to double up because they are simply stupid people. I just feel like he could have said something earlier is all. Dangerous

He didn’t come out and tell all Americans to get N95s even those are likely superior at preventing droplet spread but that doesn’t mean he’s misleading people

I always go back to we had the same exact debates in 1918.. Anti masker leagues.. the whole thing.
If there was an "end game" to mask wearing, we would have already had them on for decades..

Born in Iowa and spent my entire life in some part of the Midwest

America has some amazing people but Internet age coupled with bipolar political spectrum has fooled otherwise decent people into behaving against their interests

To this day, in Des Moines which is a 200k city and fairly moderate political-wise city, u got businesses that don’t require masks. It’s each business for themselves and they have “recommend masks” on the doors but u walk in and u have Bob joe and Kathy eating their hot pockets no masks in sight

I think there is a difference between protecting your rights and doing what is right. Hopefully the vaccines are as effective as they claim and we can all put this behind us soon. I do fear that it is becoming somewhat of a political tool at this point, but if wearing a mask means saving my grandparents etc, then I will do it.
