As an independent who leans to the right, for the foreseeable future I'll just be voting for Democrats. Too far left > crazy as fuck.

Funny thing is if you were "independent leaning right" most anywhere else in the world you would be calling Democrats ridiculously far right.

wouldn't work because of geography. and there's a big part of the country that doesn't care about either extreme, they just trynna live their lives. The solution wouldn't be to empower the sides but rather to reorganize things in a way that removes the existence of the distinction between "values associated with the right" and "values associated with the left". In the new structure, democrats and republicans need to become dead words (like Whig and Tory have become now) and have a fresh set of people in the government.

With that in mind, I'd say it makes sense to split into 5 parts rather than 2. The 5 would be: West (capital in California). Midwest (capital in Texas), Southeast (capital in DC), Northeast (capital in NY), North (capital in Ohio). That would allow each group to work geographically, since there is enough bordering states to clump together in a way that are close enough to be able to get along in the new system.

Fuck parties. All independents that form coalitions on certain issues. Parties just put people in a box.

Honestly wouldn't be so bad if the constitution was upheld without all the lobbying. Also abolish the fed and all the central bank cartel and maybe update the constitution a bit and you have something decent
