I hope big tech does more of this to be honest. People who foment an insurrection need to be banished to the digital wilderness. We need institutions to clamp down on this stuff, otherwise we may very well have some sort of Civil War in the future. We could wake up one day with half the country as deranged and violent as those who stormed the Capitol.

Not sure, big tech must be dismantled, or law must be changed, because later, much later, it's very possible you regret what you just said (in bold).

I'm willing to make the bet that not allowing insurrectionists on these platforms won't devolve into banning people for legitimate political views(whether it be on the right or left).

I find it easier to define what is not a legitimate political viewpoint.

For instance, I think Bannon's show should've been banned from YouTube after he called for Dr. Fauci and FBI Director Wray to be beheaded. That is not a legitimate expression of political views.

Again, there is always a slippery slope argument, but my point is that I'm much more concerned about these figures poisoning the minds of Americans, than I am about legitimate political views being censored. I mean, I think that's not an unreasonable position in the aftermath of insurrectionists storming the Capitol.

No one should be banned. Give him a six month suspension unless he is an actual terrorist.

This is literally a worse punishment than anything a jail can do. A ban completely destroys your career forever if you are a public figure... without a court of law.

Half of the country thinks George Floyd was murdered even though he had 10x the lethal dose of fentanyl in his blood. We are already there.
