correct me if im wrong but doesnt accepting a pardon necessitate accepting guilt first ? might not be on the table for people who acted on principle
Snowden's guilty of crime, he has admitted it. He offered to come back and stand trial, but a fair trial in a civilian court, with capital punishment off the table. The Government's counter offer was "Military Court, 99% of the evidence that would help him with a case for a lighter sentence not allowed to be heard, and capital punishment definitely an option." At a guess, I'd say Trump won't pardon him, but if he did, I have no doubt that Snowden would accept it if for no other reason than to remove the swivel from his neck.

that’s fine and all, but Trump (or any President) pardoning him would be a big FU to the swamp demons who whittle away at our Constitution
True. Flipside, he leaked classified information to 3 people without clearance and 1 foreign national. The US citizens is one thing, potentially forgivable. Classified information to a foreign national? That falls awefully close to treason.
Love that he poked a finger in the massive eye of big brother, just not sure that pardoning active treason is necessarily a good look.
Alternatively, Assange would be fine, he's not an American Citizen or British Citizen and imo his jailing is illegal in the first place.
