Countries spying on each other is nothing new. We do it to China, Russia, Iran, and even many of our Euro allies. The only real reason why this is a bigger deal than usual is they managed to really get us good since Solar Winds was connected to so many things.

1. What do you base this opinion on? I think based on what happened experts believe it was most likely Russia. The intelligence community assigns differing levels of confidence to their reports, so it's possible the White House doesn't want to go public until there's more confidence. But given everything we know about Trump's relationship with Russia, it's reasonable to assume he's not relying on the opinion of the experts. Pompeo was blaming the Russians for it.
2. Pretending that the government has to release all the proof they have(which you couldn't even understand if they did) to believe in their assessments is nutty stuff, mane.

How can anyone claim it's unreasonable to think Trump is compromised by Russia when he consistently defends them? How is his response to this cyber espionage defensible in any way?

It's unfortunate that no cultist here is able to withstand the disinformation from the propaganda networks they consume information from. It's a constant barrier that almost never gets overcome.
