I don't think it matters who it is tbh. The next person will be the boogeyman as well. At the end of the day, Republicans are going to paint all Democrats as Ilhan Omar or AOC. Democrats will paint Republicans as a bunch of Lindsey Grahams.

Republicans will try to paint every Dem Speaker in a negative light, sure, but it only works so well with Pelosi because she truly, genuinely IS the embodiment of an out-of-touch limousine liberal.
Does anyone really think that, say, a Speaker Conor Lamb would poll as atrociously as Pelosi does?
