So what we have here is 12.5 $ precisely, work is traced this is mandatory, and the one who get that kind of payment has tons of helps like healthcare, housing, family allowance, zero tax etc

Thats not true I saw a documentary once that said French people are taxed 60% and everyone is miserable because they only work like 30 hours a week.

In America at least life was far easier as a boomer.

We have more technology now, but far less economic freedom, what with college requiring a crushing amount of debt for the average person, wages being far less for the same job, etc. etc. In some cases we have worse technology actually, microwaves were better in the 90's.

Depends on the school honestly. I know some schools where 60%+ of the grads are essentially unemployed, even in the stem majors.

Nowadays you have to go to a top 20-ish school

As an individual imagine asking another individual to drive to your house, not get paid for the commute, do whatever I say for 60 minutes and at the end I’ll pay you 8.26 and then take some of that back.

The lunacy us lower class whores get to have presented to us every day.

I get that this is the incentive to go to college, vocational school, etc but fuck this lol

You can make decent money with Uber/Lyft depending on where you live.

I agree with this, life was easier as a Boomer. For every previous generation, it was undoubtably far worse. I am grateful for what I have.

My grandparents were silent generation, they owned their home in their 30's as well as a 170 hectare farm and a fruit shop, they didn't have it that bad aside from world war 2 which my grandfather missed by weeks.

If I had the 80's wage inflation adjusted for what I do now I'd be a very well off individual.

I mean, I'm not bad now, not amazing, but I get by and am paying down debt.
