Not surprised he will spend the past months of his presidency serving himself :/
The question is, once we have certified votes and the bullshit is done (hopefully by late this month) if Trump is winner, will Biden concede or take it to courts, if Biden is winner will trump concede or take it to courts?
Bottom line is, if either side can tie it up until the 14th of December, the House gets to pick the President, and the Senate gets to pick the Vice President. Each State's Delegation totals 1 vote (so um, basically majority rules from each state I guess?) First to 26 wins. I would assume a renewal of Pence as Vice President given Republican Senate majority. The question becomes President at that point. Given more states have red majorities in the house than blue (I THINK! Don't mark me 100% on this), that would point to Trump likely winning the House vote. But then again, plenty of Republican House members (old and incoming, though it'd only be the current House that'd vote, not incoming) don't much like Trump, and could theoretically vote for Biden or even Harris, or whoever else.
So... Going back to your original point, I'm curious as to the "self-serving" nature of it. Because I think if they can possibly manage it, both candidates would refuse to concede, regardless of count, and I think both candidates would rather put it to the House and Senate than take a loss. And in all likelihood, that'd probably guarantee a Republican Vice President, and quite possibly a Democrat President. Then, both sides win, because they can both be unhappy.
Fun, huh?
