should cali be broken up?
it seems a little ridiculous to have literally zero vote count equity if you differ from the main voting lines

Should Ohio be broken up? Just count Cincy, Cbus, Cleveland, akron, toledo, and Dayton as its own thing and then the hill people can get like 5 or 6 of our ECs.

Split up Texas?

No, we aren't splitting up states.

We can just do popular vote instead of breaking up states for the EC lol. You're making the tail wag the dog there a little.

the # of votes are based on population.
Make people leave CA.

Unfortunately, it's not based on citizen population. So California has something like 6 million green card holders, illegal aliens, and others who are not Americans at all weighting their EV totals. This is an absolutely massive number, the largest in the nation by several times. I believe Texas is #2 on non-citizens weighting the EV table, at 1.7 million.

There are definitely issues with EV distributions. But as a whole, I'd 100% not support "forcing states" to use them differently. How EVs are cast falls within the powers of the states, and outside federal jurisdiction.

Hah.

Republicans are just mad there are states they have lost forever while there is actual possibility of them losing texas and georgia in a single election. These things should be a given but I guess we just gatta find a way to fuck things up huh.

It's almost like your country should use actual democracy where whoever gets the most votes wins.

Also that two party system is fucking stupid.

If you apply this logic across the US dems would win literally every election because they win the popular vote every election

How about making it really simple and every American's vote counts as one?
