Honestly there isn't an easy way to deal with this issue that is inclusive towards both trans women and cis women.
With the testosterone limits that many associations have right now, women who have naturally high testosterone levels are forced to take medication to participate. And sports naturally has genetic advantages built in with competition. There's a reason Phelps and Bolt were that dominant, and it isn't just explained by doping. By excluding the women with high testosterone levels, you limit the potential of a gender pool in excelling at a sport.
Tbh though this could also be fixed by creating sports where women excel. There are certain physical attributes where women outperform men, so maybe tailor towards those? (
https://mennohenselmans.com/natural-muscular-potential-women/ is a pretty good and well sourced article on the muscle potential of women)
As someone who has been around the powerlifting world a bit and as a result a lot of time in gyms, university gyms, etc. the training used already mimics what is in that article. That article is no reflection of what females are doing in the gym who are already enrolled at a competitive level. They are not on a treadmill or using pink kettlebells. They are on the platform like the rest of us.
That being said though, even pound for pound unless heavily injecting, it's not remotely close. Unfortunately the mass majority of sports that are entertaining have a degree of explosiveness to it, with the exception some Olympic events and other things that revolve around endurance.
Typically professionals need to earn a living which means the sport needs to earn revenues to pay expenses which means it needs fans. Fans need to be entertained. If they are not you end up with something like the WNBA which is just funded off the back of the NBA due to it having a dismal fan base. Its not entertaining to watch a woman do a 540 when a guy is putting up consistent 1080s in a half pipe. It's just not.
Would it be entertaining if I had not just seen or knew what the male counterpart of these professionals were doing, probably because its still beyond what I could do with no training, but knowing what the top end is and then trying to watch a woman's event just does not do it for me and I think a lot of other fans. I can't even stand CFL, NFL and US collage ball has ruined CFL For me. CFL looks like a bunch of bad high school kids in comparison so for me its not even female vs male, its just I as a fan want to watch the highest level. Some may say that I have contradicted myself by saying I watch collage football, I disagree, the effort they are sinking in, its like playoffs every game, they all wanted to be recruited and it ends up in a game that I think is better than the NFL. Puts those 50M complacent contract players to shame.
