I understand this is against my administration’s formal guidance, however due to the desires of the American public to see a formal debate, I think this is an acceptable solution. If it was the first debate I'd probably agree, but given the shitshow that was, I don't think there's a substantial public interest in having it in person. Plus Biden catching COVID is one of the only ways he could lose this race.
Two in person debates and one online is sufficient, imo.
