It was commissioned by Jeremy Hunt, an Anglican, and made by a bishop. It specifically focuses on Christian persecution and ignores everything else.
There are 170m persecuted Muslims in India alone
The 2009 study I mentioned did look into the persecution of all religions, not just that of Christians.

Also note that Pew Research conducted a similar study in 2018-2019 which came basically to the same conclusions as the one commissioned by Jeremy Hunt.

you are unironically one of the most stupid, gullible, and biased people i know. we just don't realise how bad you really are because we're also surrounded by virtually braindead mouthbreathers like bi-ghot, endlesscry, exshillence, and camboy - but posts like that certainly help.
just to be clear, i'm not suggesting that christians aren't persecuted - in several regions of the world they clearly are, and that is undeniably terrible and worth drawing attention to - but your silly attempt to win the oppression olympics (something your camp unironically accuses everyone else of) by making such ridiculous claims, is a perfect illustration of how narrow-minded and warped your worldview is.
I'm not participating in "oppression olympics", lol. I'm not seeking a victim status, I'm an atheist and dont even identify that much with Christians. And unlike liberals, I'm not trying to derive any privilege or entitlement out any sort of perceived or real victim status.
It must be possible to state a surprising fact without being accused of partaking in oppression olympics.
To lefties, the notion that the West is in fact not the most bigoted, racist and/or religiously intolerant region of the world, that other places are actually far worse in these regards, must be truly preposterous and sound like blasphemy.

Regarding this "Christians are the most persecuted religious group in the world"-thing: just remember all the attacks and massacres by Boko Haram islamists against Christian settlements in Nigeria. Keep in mind the huge bombing in Sri Lanka from last year. Keep in mind how Christians are going (numerically) extinct in the Middle East and Northern Africa (while the share of people of Middle Eastern or North African descent in European countries steadily climbs), how they're persecuted in Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan. Keep in mind how they're persecuted in China, North Korea and increasingly also in Indonesia.
As a very simple guideline, think about it this way: Christianity and Islam are the two largest world religions by a big margin, so at least in absolute terms, one of these two will be the "most persecuted religion in the world". Then ask yourself who experiences more discrimination in the realm of the respective other: muslims in the Western world, or Christians in the muslim world.
