and once you find yourself watching netflix 90% of the time cable isnt worth it for the other 10%, not even sports or award shows. so u just stream them illegally.

I'd have a cable sub if it was worth it, but they're like $50 minimum and if you want movie channels and stuff included it's like $200 or something ridiculous.

I was absolutely floored when I saw my mom had been paying $200 for cable for most of my life. God what a waste.

the new scam is to make internet like 75$/month and a package 125$/month, so people say well fuck it it's just 50$ and then just use the internet to watch netflix.

im unlucky to live in an area with 1 internet provider, and unlucky that its 10mbps, but its dirt cheap and stable. cant game well, but streams fine.

Dont even. Internet here is 399 a month for 55 gb of total data. Plus a one time fee of 300 for the modem. Says 5mbps but you're not getting 512kb.

I can't play modern games because they're too big to download and would take multiple months data cap.

The most common plan here is the slow 20gb of data per month plan that people pay 85 bucks for.

i find the concept of data caps repugnant. if they want to throttle after X amount, sure. but hard caps with fees for going over is gross.

Most games only need a few kb. Are you just way out in the middle of nowhere so your ping is terrible

i can play D2 and wow, pvm or pve. but pvp its not crisp enough for me to enjoy it.

i can play bots in sc2, but too clippy for pvp.

my ping is not great, and i get the occasional lag spike. o well, no time for games anymore anyways.
