You know what's "capitalism's fault?" Having an excess to food to sell in the first place.

1/ How about a simple law forbidding such waste and scam (like 10% empty space max and 15% if the packing is eco-friendly) ?

Suaci has been dealing with his small "package" his entire life. He wants to punish those with a big one.

It's a close to heart topic I think.

even if that were true, which it obviously isn't, would it justify all the downsides that late stage capitalism undeniably has? you know it is possible to go for the best of 'both' (i try to keep it somewhat simple for americans) worlds, right? oh wait, you're a 'libertarian', so you probably don't actually know that...

Why do you even waste your time addressing me? It's not like I'm even going to put in an effort at giving you honest discourse when you can't be bothered yourself. Oh, that's right. You're self-important Eurotrash. Must bother you tremendously to know I'm your better in every way.

Huh? No. That food excess and waste exists largely because of government policy.

You know why we have excess here. Because people would rather drink a 4 dollar can of pop over 4 dollar 4L jug of milk.

So it goes in the trash.

Where I live you can bootleg 12 packs of pop for 80 bucks a box. Milk goes to the garbage though!

Companies have made their food so addicting. Even with mass gov't subsidies on healthy food it just goes to waste. Now coke, Pepsi, etc. Can all reduce total grams or ml per package per year but a small fraction and since people are addicted they will keep buying. Packages must remain the same for the illusion though.

That pop is made from massively subsidized corn. The milk is made from massively subsidized grain and livestock production.
