Despite the vehement insistence by a hostile press that WW3 is imminent because of him, Trump STILL hasnt started a single war.

Yet there’s a deluge of tears every time he wants bring some troops back home even from places that realistically they aren’t needed like Germany.

Obama literally wiped his ass with the American flag every day and laughed when soldiers died.

Stop making Obama sound so fucking rad.

in fact he has scaled backed our ridiculous forays and troop deployments all over. aka doing what Eisenhower heeded to us nearly 60 years ago.

that’s why the swamp demons in both political parties and a lot of the press is upset with him more than any other reason. way more than his bragging, his orange tan, rash actions, his impulsive/instinctive decisions and his crude at times rhetoric.

these groups (swamp demons in both parties, media conglomerates, and old-guard businesspeople) always forge their entire existence off of cocktail-party functions where they meet to discuss which poor unfortunate country (which already have their own fistful of problems) they’re going to have invaded by for “certain special interests”. they ship off our young people into no-win useless wars and profit off both the stock price increases of the armaments companies and kickbacks from favorable contracts they provide to said firms.

True, but he has also given the defense budget healthy increases and expanded the droning campaigns. He's not exactly been a dove...
I think Trump's approach to foreign policy is best described as "hawkish isolationism".

ive been consistent in my disapproval for this. you can support the military without blanket budget increases across the board. just keep their budget consistent with inflation and cut fat elsewhere. the US govt has plenty starting with Congress

e: President Trump other than a re-election once does not profit off of expansion of military budgets. swamp demons on the other hand profit forever off said well lets call it “arrangements of convenience”

Oh, I totally agree with that. I even think the defense budget could be cut down to 2016 levels. And within the budget, funds should be reshuffled from foreign operations toward R&D//maintaining the technological edge.

yeah that’s wishful thinking. Trump’s hinted at it but the follow through is likely to come from private initiatives

Unfortunately private initiative will never be enough. Private entities have to make their money back in a relatively short order. They can't fund projects that will only see benefits in 20 years no matter how massive those benefits might be. Well, in our new coming world of mega corporations they might be able to. We'll see.

thats true but our govt no longer has a motive to spend strategically. affordable health care has really saved me money the last 10 years

id sooner gamble on the genius of those who seek true human potential being achieved than govt dragging us all down to “equality”
