Is this what a winning strategy looks like?

It's like they are banking on white grievance and white guilt here. I'm not sure that's going to work.

This whole thing so far is very very dark. No excitement whatsoever.

Do people really get excited for Joe Biden? Asking seriously.

They do not. They just see him as an alternative. No one is excited for anything at this point.

oh my gawd

the man they brought in to criticize Trump's handling of the coronavirus pandemic and blame him for the deaths and say their response would have been better, is Andrew Cuomo
the single worst response to the epidemic, the guy who killed thousands of his own citizens by sending infected patients to nursing homes

okay bring back the black lives matter schlock, this is like watching Goebbels accuse FDR of persecuting Jews

now they are trotting out the family members of people that died from covid. all blaming trump and saying it's his fault.

i'm genuinely shocked democrats thought this dark of a convention would be a good idea

this is going to backfire. spectacularly.

i've never seen anything like this. i'm speechless

I've always found it weird how democrats think they should couple a message of "unifying the country and healing the partisan divide" with "demonizing Trump and his supporters"
What does the DNC have to say to Republicans who aren't RINOs like Kasich and won't vote for Biden?
You can't keep saying you want peace while lobbing mortars.

So far the only unity push I've seen is their attempts to bring BLM & Bernie supporters to heel under the neoliberals.

so is this convention just a parade of losers screeching about SJW themes - racial justice, income inequality, and orange man bad?

this thing is pathetic so far

not inspirational at all. it's very dark.

the (D)s have lacked inspiration since 2008. no direction at all outside Obama willing and dragging (D)s to victory. like or dislike him, Obama had that campaign in 2008 which featured a lot of inspiration and positivity. since then it’s been odious old negative has-been swamp demons who think its their turn to “fix things” when they spent decades as elected or appointed officials screwing everything up!

hell before Obama for 8 years we had that crap too with pudgy fatboy liar Gore and social-climber Iran-lover Kerry.

now that said the (R)s have been just as bad. McCain and Romney are as swamp-demon carpet-bagging opportunitsts as there have ever been and neither actually wanted to do the work to win. I’m no GWB fan based on how his administration played out but at least he cared enough to win.

Also this isn’t live, I’m seeing edits 🙄

Of course. Did you seriously think the DNC would not seize the opportunity the virtual convention gives them? Not being live gives them the unique opportunity to play it safe with stumbling Joe's big acceptance speech on Thursday.

Hell no, lol. People might be excited about voting Trump out of office, but there is VERY little energy for Biden.

What really baffles me is how much they emphasize BLM issues. BLM is divisive, a narrow majority of Americans supports Trump sending federal law enforcement to cities where riots have gotten out of hand, there is a lot of violence and hateful rhetoric coming out of the orbit of the BLM movement at the moment. Why put the focus so much on such a risky issue that comes with so much downside potential when they have an even bigger issue, one where Trump objectively fucked up a lot more, in COVID?

Imho, making covid and the importance of "good governance" the centerpiece of their campaign is the winning move for Democrats, while running a campaign around BLM and racial reckoning is a 50:50 proposition at best.

its rife with democrat propaganda

george floyd's family just straight up lied by saying George Floyd had a history of "giving back"

yeah... giving back fake $20 bills and stealing merchandise

in one breathe i'm shocked people believe this.. then i realize its just confirmation bias

It's not discriminatory if the benevolence of the accuser was compromised, but it's not a tragedy because they were police officers EQUALLY AS WELL

That's why in the ultimate case of quarreling, the theft of unwilled assault on some black nigger from Arkansas was but the tragedy of how it ended up on the news

In other words, don't give others an illusion of yourself when you can't afford to accomodate the law of the land

Their entire realistic victory path is to recapture enough white voters with a moderate biden/kamala ticket and play into the economic downturn and coronavirus killing the elderly in order to take a lot of older white voters back from Trump
and their game plan was 100% focus on black lives matter

I think Trump's disfavored right now but good god if they aren't trying their hardest to fuck this up. All they have to do is not put black lives matter at the forefront of their campaigning and they should win
but nope, they want to plunge ahead and feed Trump's narrative of democratic mobs burning down cities and lynching white folks.
