Abortion is bad health. Taking better care of children and implementing solid maternal/paternal leave plans is much better. I am personally willing to fund the latter, and not the former.

Welp, you're light years ahead of most right-wingers in your willingness to fund parental leave. That is the bare minimum we should do as a country if we value families and not being reliant with immigration to fill our labor gaps.

Of course we should promote sex education, but why try and teach people not to have children? The left wants immigration because "we need young tax-payers", only to turn around and tell young people that they shouldn't have the young tax-payers we supposedly need. We should encourage large families and support them appropriately.

The left tells young people not to have a lot of kids because it's financial suicide to do so since as a society we don't support kids.

If you want people to support having big families you need to first start supporting them. It doesn't make sense to tell people to have big families because "maybe in the future the next generation will get help and support"

while i agree with comprehensive sex education and some expansion of social services, im confused with the bold. condoms and diaphragms arent sold to the public at cvs or 7-11 anymore? and when i was in undergrad (which wasn't too long ago) you could go to the campus social center or medical facility whatever and they had a selection of condoms you could just go pickup without even a formal appointment.

The message isn't about teaching people to not have kids. It's to merely avoid, to the greatest extent possible, unintended pregnancy, which would significantly reduce the rate of abortion.

Interesting enough, the only FDA-approved condom for women, the F2C, got classified as a Class 2 medical device. This puts it in the same medical category as pacemakers and is now only available as a prescription. Very silly stuff.
