Black, Indigenous, and People of Color. It's to reflect that despite all of those folks being non-white, that the United States has a particularly significant history and relationship with Black and Indigenous people, and that distinguishing this as opposed to just merely "People of Color" allows for more nuanced conversations.

Personally, I think we should do away with "Masters degree". Let's just convert to Starbuck's lingo and people can earn a Small, Grande, or Venti degree.

I hope you're having a good July 4th as well, friend! And as always, please remember that if you find yourself celebrating "America's Greatness" that that is kind of offensive since All Countries Matter.

People have been bringing up how Simpsons is slipping for politically conscious decisions but I've been disappointed with the product for a long, long time. It's not like these actions destroyed the show, they just lost it, lost their good writers, etc.

Can't comment given I haven't watched the show in so long.

Lisa is the feature of one of my favorite episodes, "Lisa Goes to Washington". Season 3 or 4, I forget, but it was such a good political episode which didn't take the easy way out and target one contemporary party/figure so it could have more staying power. Top notch.

i just read up on this and i understand where the natives are coming from but do they realistically think the land is going to be returned and all the current residents evicted? that's about as likely as crimea being returned to ukraine

tldr: they are using a needlessly unwiedly acronym to stress the point that african americans occupy a higher rank in the oppression olympics than other brown people?!
