Berman has now tendered his resignation, citing Barr accepting Stauss as his replacement instead of Craig Carpenito. However, unless I'm mistaken, Berman resigning also means that Barr could just turn around and nominate Carpenito as acting head if he wanted to, taking precedence over Strauss. Barr first said he would nominate Carpenito, then said he would accept Strauss becoming de facto acting attorney, but the whole things enough of a cluster fuck already we can't assume there won't be another twist
