That may be how you interpret it, however that’s not what the message is.
The message is Black. Lives. Matter.
Nobody is saying other lives don’t matter, or matter less.
It’s like if you lived in a neighborhood & your neighbor’s house is on fire. You run outside & here your neighbor say “my house matters” as he sprays his house with a water hose. You start to spray your house with your water hose & say “ but what about my house, or his house, don’t they matter to...? Your neighbor replies “Yes, BUT YOUR HOUSE ISN’T ON FIRE”
That’s basically what you’re doing, Ghot.
There’s even a parable in the Bible that describes this same message. Luke 15. Shepard has 100 sheep. 1 sheep gets lost. He goes after the 1 sheep. Do the other 99 not matter ? If course they do, but they’re not the one in danger.
Sure there are people who are racist. But I think BLM is looking for perfection, and that will never happen. That's MY point.
Compared to what is was like, when I was a kid in the 60's....there really isn't any racism today. Or... it's now down to only the true idiots are still racist. Percentage wise is so low as to be almost non-existent.
Like I've said before, people coming to the US need to assimilate. No country wants someone to come in and set up little countries of their own in the US. This is NOT unexplored country any more.
Remember apartheid? That was just the opposite. That was whites trying to set up THEIR own little country in SA. It was just as wrong as people from Africa or Mexico or the middle east, trying to set up THEIR own little countries in the US, or France or the UK... etc.
I've been all over the US and seen people of all different races. The ones who come to the US and play the game the way US citizens play it... do fine. The sixties were 60 years ago, and yes there was racism, but that's been pretty much eliminated.
Sure there may still be rich kids (of all races) that have it easy. For the rest of the folks in the US... it's hard for everyone. You have to work your ass off and you don't win all the time. That's just life.
It's like those companies that decide that half the CEOs have to be women. That's a crock of shyt. The CEOs should be the ones that won the game...whoever they are, whatever race or gender they are. Getting that handed to you for w/e reason is just as bad as being prevented from achieving that because of race or gender.
A black guy got killed by accident by a couple cops. So did a white guy in TX. WHY were the countries reactions so different? No one seems to really care about the much younger, much healthier white kid that got killed. Sure a lot of folks will say "we're rioting for everyone that gets killed by cops, but that's not true. If there had been no Floyd incident, no one would have went berserk all over the country because the white kid got killed.
THAT is why groups like BLM shouldn't be allowed to exist. Just like groups like neo-nazis shouldn't be allowed to exist. That tribal crap is done with, it's not necessary any more and it's very detrimental.
Groups like those are racist by definition. Same with things like MS-13 or the Chinese triades. This is the year 2020, we should be done with that crap, at least in first world countries.
Or maybe every one thinks we should have a group like WAM (white athletes matter). I bet a kid who spends his whole life working at being a football star, doesn't think it's fair that blacks usually get the job. He could justly say, it's size discrimination. When it's not... it's there were other people that were better at the job. THAT is why they got the job.
Not everyone who wants to be a CEO should BE a CEO. The most talented... should get the job... whoever they are.
End of rant.
