Veterinary social work graduate certificate, to study the link between human and animal violence, animal based interventions, grief counseling for pets (their owners when they lose their pets), and end of life decision-making beyond "ready to put them down?", such as palliative care, etc.

After this i will be able to volunteer places and take a therapy dog to visit people in institutional settings...very impactful. People just cry and hug dogs and it is this huge emotional release they normally do not get.

Veterinarians have one of the fasting rising suicide rates of professions and it is largely because they are doing the emotional labor alone. Most of the time they don't know the other end of life options except what is in their toolbox, and alot of people are shitty and don't stay with their pet as it is put down...they need assistance in these tasks and they need more tools available. This is where i will offer my consultation services. It is a very underdeveloped scope of practice and nobody is doing it here, meanwhile animal hospitals offering cancer treatment are in the rise. A lot of opportunity. Its a five year certificate for MSWs.

This would be in addition to my hospital social work, which has been all remote. When this is over i want to stay remote.

As of right now everyone working at the hoapital is basically wearing army MOPP 4 and I'm good in that.

If a trump check comes it will go into savings.

The most defining characteristic about the quarantine to me is that my wife hasn't bugged the made to go out and do a bunch a shit with people. Instead ive been doing things like put down 80 bags of Mulch in past 3 days.

Keep working, try and support my gf since her internship's currently stopped. Go for walks regularly, sometimes a run.

Been thinking about getting a pet, but honestly don't think now's the time for that.

There's some risk for war or mutation but it's very small.
Nothing will change, big HOLE in planning, and people will forget in no time.

Same here. I am eager to die to it because I certainly don't want to live through the depression that will be left after. But if, for some reason, I don't get it, then I'll probably end up farming The Countess for runes like Ist and Mal.

Pro tip: if you are poor your life does not change much during a recession.

You have no savings or 401k. You have no property that can be foreclosed on, and if you don't have kids you just have to find relatively stable food and shelter for yourself, which isn't hard. Chicks were having babies when I was in high school. That is way harder than anything you are going to face due to the economic repercussions of Covid-19. You got this. No matter how about things get your probly still have a computer Internet and a big a** TV to play video games on and plenty of calories and relative safety.

If you need help finding food give me your zip code via PM and I'll find free food for you and people happy to give it.

Every environment is rich with resources.

I'm preparing myself mentally for the Second Depression (post covid) to be comparable to the First Depression of the 1930s.
