I think a good solution would be for everyone to carry "consent forms" (doesn't have to be paper, can be done through an app) and that tells the person their sexual history.

Here are the advantages:
1. If you forget your "consent code," that means you are unable to give consent. This would prevent rape.
2. It gives the other party as much information as possible in order to make an informed decision.
3. It's fast and easy, no different than determining if you should be able to purchase a firearm

Disadvantages:
1. It would be difficult for old people to have consenting sex
2. Privacy issues, HIPAA, etc.

It comes with the digital age. We no longer live in reality. We can be and do whatever we want and there's no consequences to face.

Listened to a perfect song about this today, incidentally.

In this specific case, however, was the aggravated sexual assault charge only as a result of his failure to disclose (in otherwise consensual contact? )? Or did he actually assault them as well?

If the former, the penalty does seem a bit drastic, although I do think there should be one. What would the penalty be if, for example, someone have someone a ride and failed to disclose that they were drunk? (Or at least intoxicated beyond the legal limit.) I think they're comparable situations, if anything the ride is worse, but I don't think it would carry such a strong penalty.

We've had this discussion before. The gay lobby is really pushing for these regressive policies to their own detriment tbh.

It's really interesting how the view is trying to be shifted to favorable treatment the aggressor and robbing the victims of their justice.

Could you please not lump the entire gay community as one group that thinks the same? Not all of us are HIV advocates. Straight people get HIV, too, you know.

I am gay and I refuse to date anyone who is HIV positive. In addition, I am monogamous. I also am a Christian and have moderately Republican views. I am not “mainstream” and there are gays who hate me because I believe in God and do not support Hillary or Bernie.

If you checked out profiles on some gay dating apps, you’ll eventually run into a few who say they are “not into gay scenes” meaning they don’t go to Pride or gay bars, etc. They hate the gay drama. They just want a simple life, and many live deep in the country for that reason. They just want peace and a happy, stable relationship with their S.O.

This would’ve been more accurate.

the irony of mentioning hard in a condom discussion.

but for real tho, prep and shit exist in part due to people not wanting to use a bag. condoms aren't 100% effective, but many people also just wont use them.
