If you can create and enforce hardline social identity based on nothing but fabricated gender expression, so can others.
If you simply acknowledged human liberty to dress, act, name themselves, prefer certain colors, play with things they enjoy, etc we wouldn't have gone down this road of hard lines using the legal system to fight a culture war.
