This is standard practice though. You want evidence gathering to be behind closed doors, especially when the topics are sensitive, so that you avoid partisan bullshit. There's no grandstanding, just staffers asking witnesses. Once the evidence is gathered, a public case will be made. It obviously HAS to be public eventually because impeachment is ultimately a POLITICAL decision which means you need support from the PEOPLE.

Schiff is partisan and I believe that he's hurt the case. I think it's shameful that he's the chair of the intelligence committee because it should be non-partisan. Having said that, get the fuck out of here with this false equivalence bullshit. You KNOW that this is disgraceful and is WORSE. You KNOW that it's the Senate that ultimately decides the fate of the President. You're just mad that the Democrats are winning the media battle.
