How many miles do you have to drive and how many state borders do you have to pass from NYC until you arrive at a place with lax gun laws?

seriously? you don't get his point? or are you just pretending because you know he's right. fact is that america is drowning in an ocean of guns. having shootings in specific places where it's a bit harder to acquire new ones, or a bit more difficult to LEGALLY carry them is hardly proof that stricter gun laws don't work.

there is plenty of evidence they do. just look at countries that have implemented them nationwide...

As many countries in the world have shown... removing guns doesn't lower the murder count. It just lowers the murder by gun count.

Additionally success at suicide goes down if you restrict gun access, since gun attempts are by far the most successful.
