As a veteran I advise people to not enlist while a Republican is in office. I told my friend that and ended up having to shoot the wild dogs of Mosul that were eating the corpses in the streets so that the media didnt get footage of that....told ya motherfucker. Lol. So now you support Republicans because they simply invade. Interesting change from supporting a party based on their periodic vocal opposition to war to the party who spreads it across the globe unchecked by international law or its own nation's constitution.

I'm a Republican because the Democrats have moved heavily away from social conservatism. That is by far my strongest motivator driving my allegiance. Maybe if the Democrats were consistently anti-war and vocal about non intervening i would vote for them but their not. Instead we get people like Hillary Clinton drumming the war drum in places like Ukraine where my wife has family.

The war drums are being beaten on for the Donbas already, if faintly.

The Democrats put up a candidate that wanted to send troops and arm Ukrainians against a war with Russia (for our interests). The Democrats put up a candidate that wanted to topple Assad, arm rebels (who we now know were extremists) for our personal interests and countries like SA. Yeah, i'm going to stand against that 10/10 times. Lesser of two evils, etc.

Considering the histories of the countries and their conflicts in the middle east... I think we "shouldn't" be arming them like we have been.
We should either go in and kick ass, or stay out.

I'd hate to see the day when all those countries we armed, decided to work together, and turn all those arms on us.

Trump has ramped up arms deals to the Saudis during his term. But when they turn those weapons on us we'll invade another Afghanistan and Iraq instead.

The Defense and State Dept. rule of thumb should be... NEVER arm religious fanatics.
