I get the point of the thread but I just disagree

I mean this is daily shit here and both sides hit it all the time

When it comes to guns though I def fit in more with those on the right than left typically.

Cant ignore the facts. America has its own problems just like other countries. Nothing new about people only looking outwards vs inwards most of the time.

We have food stamps, disability, welfare, medicaid (healthcare), subsidized low income housing, etc. If you're eating cat food, that's just gross.

it actually happens in a lot of cases to people in the last stage.

whatever savings you have on top of your s/s check dwindle or a health problem eats it all up. before you know if you're looking at 100% of your s/s check going to rent and whatever u can put towards the various payment plans you've got and you're sitting on 15$ worth of food stamps for a weeks worth of groceries.

this is the exact situation my ex-step mom is in. we've been keeping her off of catfood or equally shitty food with donations of food from the church. but she hasn't bought anything new in a few years, she has less than no money.

im sure Skinned would have actual examples of the catfood people from his line of work. grossest thing i've seen is people cooking with motor oil.

3) people need shot lately, they just won't stfu

when i read something like this i have the odd desire to shoot someone up with fentanyl then hand them a week worth of dosages and just say with a smile "don't take them, if you can".

maybe you have an actual strong will, or maybe you're just another weak willed keyboard warrior who'd be finishing off strangers for cash to buy heroin inside of a month. many people are without knowing it until its far too late.

just because some assistance exists doesn't mean there aren't people out there doing a lot of things you would find gross to survive

as someone that came from that and grew up to be a social worker I can say I've seen just about everything when it comes to poverty in rural America and cat food is not near as bad as it gets for some

Yep. I've been on a lot of painkillers in my life ranging from hydrocodone to percocet to morphine. They're pretty amazing and i agree how people can go off the deep end for them.
