Scalia didn't realize that originalism and textualism were mutually exclusive, but he was still one of the brightest SCOTUS Justices we had in recent memory. He had some good moments.

Gorsuch seems like more of hack based on his opinions, even if they likely would have voted almost the exact same. Admittedly, Gorsuch has been a Justice for only a short while now, and Justices do change over time.

Sentate Democrats will do everything they can to obstruct any nominees until after the mid-term elections. Senate Republicans are going to have to act very quickly and unified if they hope to get this done before then.

This is pretty yuuge news. I’d say liberals are going to lose their minds over this, but that’s been happening for quite some time now. This still has to hurt though, especially with this being on the heels of losing so many court battles 5-4.

I expect Garland to be brought up quite a bit

Alito, Gorsuch, Thomas, and whoever Trump picks next would likely vote to overturn Roe v Wade, but John Roberts wouldn't.

Roberts finna become the next Kennedy and uphold the integrity of the SCOTUS on the landmark cases. Look at what he just did in Carpenter v. United States, for instance.

Kennedy was the swing vote

Its a possibility but i dont think its certain yet
