as if trump ever cared about being sued. seriously though, the "master negotiatior" is showing again how terrible of a "negotiator" he really is by unilaterally imposing tariffs like that. it will severely hurt many economies, and when the dust settles the one that will be damaged the most by this will undoubtedly be america.
and yes, i already mentioned in the other thread that this is most likely happening against current agreements but again, the emperor doesn't care - for him, it's a short term political "win" as many of the simple folk that make up his base will most likely see it as "fighting back" against "unfair deals" (the other thread has also shown how misinformed the cultists are, completely believing these baseless propaganda talking points, it's frightening really)...

Definitely an "I told you so" moment. Trump supporters are still struggling with the content though.

That's fine and all, but keep in mind that this was the market reaction to the mere announcement of the new tariffs. Once they're implemented we're going to feel the real impact, in our aircraft industry, in our auto-industry, and in our agriculture industry(just to name a few). On top of this we may be in violation of some of our existing agreements, which will hurt foreign investors' confidence in investing in our markets.

The stock market is doing a simple ABC correction. It made its first low in early feb. it bounced and it now is dropping again to retest that low. This is normal behavior. The tariffs likely have nothing to do with it. It was going to try to retest that low no matter what.
